Living on Bitcoin while mining Fiat

If you want to live on a bitcoin standard, and dampen the volitility of the USD price of bitcoin, you can use Strike to auto convert your inputs and outputs.

1. Get paid by Direct Deposit into Strike. Have it auto convert to bitcoin at 100%.
2. Use your CC’s throughout the month for most of your expenses, with the intention of paying off in full at the end of the month.
3. Use Strike’s billpay feature to use your bitcoin balance to pay for your bills. This includes Venmo types of things, mortgage, charity, CC’s, etc. (Basically any eCheck capable bill payment).

Note: you’ll incur a fee each time it converts from USD to BTC, and vice versa.

I’ve noticed if you alter your #1 above by:

1. Don’t autoconvert your Direct Deposit to bitcoin.
2. Figure out your paychecks, divide by the days between paychecks, and configure a Dollar Cost Average buy. Strike will stop charging buy fees after 1 week. This will drastically reduce your fees.
